Description
Group/Division The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process—from research and development to final volume production. Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Drive collaboration projects, eval, H2H, ramp support etc. to deliver KLA product value and continue product learning in HVM.
- Work jointly with BU and Product teams to development strategy and execute SOW/Beta goals.
- Develop the messaging and communicate that product strategy to the key partners in the organization: PLC, application, indirect channel partners, and engineering in a matrixed organization across a global network.
- Drive market research and competitive analysis. Influence company roadmap through market trends and requirements analysis. Write market requirements documents (MRD).
- Interface with Product PLC, Functional groups and the executive team. Achieve alignment and buy-in across product functions.
- Maintain the “competitor” knowledge base for both direct and indirect technologies to support strategic decisions driving product roadmap to ensure KLA Instruments stays relevant to our customers.
- Drive Strategic customer engagements. Develop product strategy to achieve product adoption, market share, and penetration.
- Coordinate resource plan and technical/application gap escalation.
- Able to coach engineers and motivate team members. Selects, develops and evaluates the personnel to build a strong apps team
- Complementing and coordinating with the application engineers, bridge the customer environment to the engineering team.
- Develop relationships with customers, practice through the cycle performance.
- Understand customer’s technical requirements, has a deep understanding of leading-edge process and our product technology and product position.
- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
