The proposed Televisa-Univision merger will broaden our global Spanish-language media footprint with the largest library of owned Spanish-language content and unmatched production capabilities to power its preeminent television, digital and streaming platforms.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Technical Project Management to join our team leading collaboration with internal and external teams and subcontractors to manage and coordinate Media Engineering efforts for our new product offering. This position will play a pivotal role in how Univision’s new streaming platform delivers live events, linear channels, and VOD experiences to users.

This is a cross-functional role, collaborating across many of Univision's teams and partners to ensure the success of the product for our users. Exceptional technical background and communication skills at all levels, including executive level, driving for alignment and teamwork, will be important.

You will coordinate with engineers and engineering leaders as needed for development execution, design review, design, or intent change integration. In this role you will coordinate with the Media Engineering leads to maintain all schedule milestones, manage and approve requests for information and submittals, review time and level-of-effort estimates and change orders, execute procurements process for unbought scope, and review/disposition non conformances.

The Opportunity

· Establish and implement training processes and strategies for engineering personnel

· Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects

· Assign and oversee the daily tasks of engineers while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones

· Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects

· Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives

· Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department

· Manage key relationships and communications with stakeholders including senior executives

· Identify key decisions and build internal consensus and alignment towards a recommended approach

Experience

· 8+ years of hands-on experience on technical project management launching and/or delivering streaming media services

· You are a builder that enjoys being in the weeds with the engineering teams and obsesses about consumer needs, partner needs and developer needs

· You have a technical aptitude, and you enjoy working on problems around scale, maintainability, and architecture

· Solid understanding of relevant technology and tools and, how SaaS integrations work

· Expertise in streaming media formats, video encoding, video players, content management systems

· Experience with cloud software platforms and development

· Ability to thrive in a high pressure and rapidly changing, less structured environment

· Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain focus and confidentiality

· Exceptional decision-making skills and ownership mentality

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to handle both executive-level discussions as well as technical deep dives. We are looking for someone that cultivates relationships and collaborates across multiple teams effectively.

· Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish

· Has knowledge of and actively consumes Univision content, a plus!
